jamil viper
Jamil Viper is a second-year student in Twisted Wonderland and the vice head of Scarabia. His ancestors have served the Al-Asim family generation after generation, so he's been dragged around by the careless Kalim since they were young. His unique magic, Snake Whisper, allows him to hypnotize others when they look into his eyes and control their will.
He and Kalim both come from the Scalding Sands. Najma Viper is his older sister, and he is a member of the Basketball Club.
Because of his family's historical relationship with the Al-Asims, he's been instructed since he was little to be Kalim's friend but also always subservient to him, always told to never outshine him. This resulted in him suppressing his own talents and building a resentment towards the oblivious Kalim, eventually resulting in him hypnotizing Kalim during Book 4 to try and ruin his reputation as dorm warden. Kalim still accompanies him after the incident, but Jamil no longer pretends to be his friend or suppress his abilities.
